MagRoc was approached to develop worker accommodation for use in the Cook Islands using SIP construction.
I designed a series of terraced houses optimised to the standard 1200mm wide MagRoc SIP. I wanted to develop a design that would be sympathetic to the local environment while using as few components as possible.
The final design used a variety of claddings to break the structure into individual parts allowing the structure to avoid seeming too monolithic and heavy.
The project did not progress past concept stage.
