Hackman was commissioned by Waterfront Auckland to develop an event for their birthday celebrations.
Big Battleships was created to specifically run next to the draw bridge in Wynyard Quarter, allowing us a bigger viewing zone for the audience.
We created a rubber powered catapult shaped like a navy frigate. Kids could then come up and place a tennis ball 'bomb' inside and fire it at a series of floating targets. These included a pirate ship, a Japanese whaling ship and Noah's Arc.
