The consoles for Apollo 13: Mission Control were designed to be as authentic as possible while being able to easily pack down for transportation.

I settled on a powder-coated steel chassis for its durability and reasonable weight combined with laser cut MDF control panels. The control panels consisted of banks of lights and toggle switches driven by custom Arduino controllers,  functioning CRT monitors playing live video feeds and a vintage rotary telephone system networked to allow console to console communications.
